GETTING TO SAN MIGUEL
Getting to San Miguel de Allende is easy! Check out www.aa.com for flight schedules on American Airlines, the official airline of the San Miguel International Chili Cook-Off. AA offers several daily flights from Dallas and Houston to Leon (which is a 90 minute taxi or shuttle ride to San Miguel). If you choose to fly American Airlines, be sure to contact us before making reservations! AA has been generous enough to offer a 5% - 25% discount to cook-off participants! (The discount will depend on how many cook-off participants choose to fly with AA). Continental Airlines also has daily flights to Leon, or to Queretaro (a 45 minute taxi or shuttle ride to San Miguel). There’s also daily first class bus service from Laredo – just a one day ride. Once you are here, getting around is easy – there’s no need to rent a car. The favored mode of transportation is walking, but the city is bustling, so if you don’t want to walk, you can catch a cab anywhere, any time of the day or night. After you’ve turned in your sign-up sheet, we’ll provide you with more information about how to get from Leon or Queretaro to San Miguel.
